Pass user in Brazil

The Fon network in Brazil is formed by Oi WiFi Fon hotspots. Here is all you need to know so you can connect to our network in Brazil as a Fon Visitor.

Fon Visitors can access the network using Fon Passes.

Note: The pass sale on Oi WiFi Fon hotspots is entirely managed by Oi. For any related inquiry, please contact Oi support team.

 

1. First time Fon Visitors (not already registered)

First pass purchase

If you wish to purchase a pass for the first time, look to see if a WiFi signal "Oi WiFi Fon" is in range of your device and if so, connect to it. 

Open your web browser and wait for the Oi Fon login page to load. If it doesn't, type any web address, i.e."www.wikipedia.org" into your browser's address bar.

Click on "Create Account" / "Cadastre-se".

Choose your country (país) in the drop-down menu and introduce your postal code (CPF).

Introduce your name (nome), email, choose a password (senha) and a secret question/answer.

Once the account has been created, you'll be able to choose a 1 hour (1 hora), 1 day (1 dia) or 30 days (30 dias) pass, and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the purchase.

2. Recurring Fon visitors (already registered)

Connection using pass in course

If you have activated a Fon pass previously and you still have remaining connection time and wish to reconnect to the network:

Look to see if a WiFi signal "Oi WiFi Fon" is in range of your device and if so, connect to it.

Open your web browser and wait for the Oi Fon login page to load. If it doesn't, type any web address, i.e. "www.wikipedia.org" into your browser's address bar.

Select "Fon" in the drop down menu and log in with your username and password (email and password used for creating your account).

You will be redirected to a new login page. Log in with your username and password (email and password used for creating your account).

Once logged in you will be able to surf directly. If not, it will mean your current pass has expired.

Pass activation

If you have available Fon passes in your account and wish to activate one to reconnect to the network:

Look to see if a WiFi signal "Oi WiFi Fon" is in range of your device and if so, connect to it.

Open your web browser and wait for the Oi Fon login page to load. If it doesn't, type any web address, i.e. "www.wikipedia.org" into your browser's address bar.

Select "Fon" in the drop down menu and log in with your username and password (email and password used for creating your account).

You will be redirected to a new login page. Log in with your username and password (email and password used for creating your account).

Once logged in, you will see the list of available Fon passes (if you have Fon passes left) and will be able to choose the one you wish to activate by clicking the "Burn" button.

The list of available passes show passes grouped by type: 1 Hour, 1 Day or 30 Days. Underneeth the type you'll see the amount of passes (of that kind) left for example 1 Hour (2 available). When you click on the "Burn" button, one pass of the type selected is activated and deducted from the amount.

Once the pass is activated your session starts.
